We were proud of this sandwich, so we took a picture. It has grilled eggplant, grilled red peppers, greens and a fresh mozzarella and basil spread. I was even more proud after eating my half...Brendan thought it could use some work...surprise surprise!

Brendan's brother Damian, Brendan and Damian's buddy Kevin drinking at Kells Irish Bar in downtown Seattle. Brendan and I went down last weekend to visit Damian. There are only a few good reasons to visit Seattle again. That is besides the obvious reasons such as: The Original Starbucks (yes, I've been there...twice), The Giants vs. Seahawks game (Go Broncos!), the American dollar bill (what's up with those toonies? eh?)...and Target (I can't imagine why Canada doesn't have Target. It's just plain crazy).

more fun in celebration of BC day...

...we spent sunday at Joffre (that's Joffre with a J and two f's) Lakes Provincial Park. The day was beautiful. We hiked to three crystal clear lakes and one glacier...alongside a bazillion other tourists speaking a bazillion different languages. After the hike we went to Whistler where we went out for a delicious Italian dinner and went back to the hotel where we went to sleep and had sweet dreams of powder skiing and lots of winter visitors...
